Laying out a soundscape of the jazz, roots, cajun, latin & r&b blues from the cultural rich history of New Orleans & south Louisiana. From the jazz influence of Louis Armstrong, the New Orleans piano sounds of Professor Longhair, Fats Domino, Dr. John & Allen Toussaint, the funky sounds of the Neville Brothers, & Gary’s own compositions in his own gumbo style...it’s all here.

Always try to pay homage to the New Orleans artists that paved the way & the songs I've enjoyed listening to for many years.... The artists that have influenced my style?....Doug Kershaw, Dr John, Fats Domino, Neville Brothers, Harry Connick Jr, Lee Dorsey, Professor Longhair, Louis Armstrong..... Many people have done this song but the first version I heard was from Gary Power, a singer/songwriter from the east coast of Canada ....
Louisiana Gumbo... Here's a song I wrote about this little New Orleans bar/restaurant called the Ouisi Bistro where we had a Sunday night gig for 5+ years. Many good times, good friends & many great memories were had there. Sadly it's not around any more as the high cost real estate market priced them out of the area. Good times though....
Fun song to play I heard from Amos Milburn many years ago....
Here's a song I wrote from an album called The Hunger (1996). This song stayed in the attic for many years but I recently started performing it again....Dead Or Alive
